Recruitment of a Youth Outreach Administrator

The Barbados Association of Winnipeg, Manitoba Inc. (BAW) is seeking a Youth Outreach Administrator. The BAW is a non-profit organization that provides supports to individuals and families through its events, projects and programs. The Youth Outreach Administrator (YOA) will be responsible for the successful administration of the BAW scholarship program, in accordance with BAW’s project agreement with Canadian Heritage. The successful candidate will have:

• A degree or partial degree in an appropriate field and/or equivalent education and experience • A vital role in reaching out to more youths to inform them of the opportunities and link them to volunteer placements with agencies etc. • Ability to present information to the community at large • To ensure that Black History, culture and heritage is integrated more directly into the BAW’s scholarship program’s criteria • A working knowledge of scholarship programs and volunteerism and how they affect students • Computer and social media experience/training 
 • Excellent written, verbal and non verbal communication skills 
 • An ability to work in harmony with a variety of volunteers, educational institutions and community groups while promoting BAW’s goals • The ability to work evenings/weekends where necessary and to work independently • A valid Manitoba driver’s license and a vehicle available for work
