Job Description: Come Build Your Career Under OUR RoofJob Description: The Territory Manager is responsible for the sale of Residential and Commercial GAF materials across the markets of Southern Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Western Ontario. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Maintain current account base and develop new accounts for revenue growth; promote GAF products to retailers, distributors, building supply dealers, architects, builders, building owners, property managers, contractors and other potential customers. Furnish management with all reports and paperwork relating to the operation and development of the sales territory, strategies, product information and other competitor information which may significantly impact GAF. Provide information to management as it relates to pricing strategies in the territory, conduct training sessions for customers regarding product knowledge via distributor, contractor meetings, etc. Attend customer shows, conventions and other industry related activities when requested by management; resolve customer complaints as assigned by the Director of Sales. Identify with competitors, their product lines, and market practices, as well as industry trends. Facilitate the sale and flow of GAF products through big box home improvement retail accounts Educate and promote growth of roofing category (emphasis on commercial products). Ability to train individuals or small groups with emphasis on general product knowledge, application techniques and best practices. Develop and maintain close working relationships with the big box home improvement retail management/pro desk/merchandising teams and store associates Implement GAF product and set integrity in stores, provide feedback on market conditions, insure proper inventory levels, maintenance of retail product categories and provide training to retail associates Competencies: Adaptability Building Strategic Working Relationships Technical/Professional Knowledge & Skills Stress Tolerance Decision Making Communication Intermediate proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite Intermediate understanding of commercial roofing and/or coatings products Strong knowledge of industries, process and systems General knowledge/skills: Intermediate to advanced communication skills with strong customer focus Intermediate to advanced analytical skills Strong organizational and presentation skills Ability to multitask Ability to build working relationships Intermediate time management skills Advanced level negotiation skills Presentation skills in a small group setting Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree is highly preferred Ideal candidates will have demonstrated and proven sales experience with a background in the building material industry, roofing experience is highly preferred Intermediate proficiency in the MS Office suite is needed Multi-channel experience selling to include distributor, contractor, lumber dealer, two step, architect, retail, property management & Co-Ops is ideal #ZRHWe believe our employees are our greatest resource.
