Job Description:Are you interested in an exciting career as a Truck driver? With Blue Oak Transport we will ensure you receive the Class 1- 244-hour course training you need to successfully obtain your Class 1 license at no cost to you and have you working immediately upon completion of your Drivers test! Here are the requirements below: Step 1: Meet the requirements to become a professional truck driver. To drive a Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) and be hired by a professional company, you will need to meet certain requirements. Be at least 21 years old. The Ministry of Transportation requires all professional truck drivers who drive across state lines to be at least 21 years old. You can obtain a Class 1 at the age of 18, but you will be limited to driving intrastate and most trucking companies only hire Class 1 holders who are 21 years old and older. Have a clean driving record. Most truck driving companies do background checks prior to hire to look for a clean driving record. Step 2: Obtain a Class 1 License. To earn a Class 1, you will have to attend a truck driving school (we can have this done at no cost to you), pass a drug and alcohol test, undergo a physical and more. Step 3: Get a truck driving job.Once you have your Class 1, you will have access to a huge variety of Provincial, National and International runs. Prior to starting employment at Blue Oak, you will be required to pass a drug and alcohol screen in addition to sharing your work history and passing a background check.
