Wahbung Abinoonjiiag is looking for enthusiastic, community-minded individuals to join our Cold Weather Outreach Support Team, which will work to meet the expressed needs of women and families experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness due to family violence, by providing individualized transportation support services and integrated service provision through holistic internal case management; external agency referrals; and, systems navigation advocacy.
Wahbung Abinoonjiiag is a domestic violence prevention, healing and crisis center that was established in 1994 (incorporated in 1999), to empower children and their families to end the cycle of violence. Wahbung Abinoonjiiag “Children of Tomorrow” is an Indigenous organization, providing opportunities for holistic healing through culturally-relevant teachings, programs, advocacy and counselling. Our dynamic team of 15 staff and 25+ volunteers deliver programs for children, youth, mothers and families who have witnessed or experienced domestic violence.
Full-time (term) Cold Weather Outreach Support Worker, 37.5 hours per week until March 31, 2020
Part-time (term) Cold Weather Outreach Support Assistant, 25 hours per week until March 31, 2020
