We’re searching for a Billing and Payroll Clerk to work for a reputable logistics and transportation company in North-West Winnipeg. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated individual who has good written and verbal communication skills.

The Billing and Payroll Clerk is responsible for the accurate and timely invoicing of accounts billed from the Western Corporate office and support here in Winnipeg!

Responsibilities
– Rating and invoicing customers, as well as, rating and approving payroll for drivers
– Use A1 (Freight LogiX) transportation management systems for billing and other related accounting functions
– Ensure all billing and reporting deadlines are met
– Produce monthly revenue accrual for assigned accounts
– Apply payroll rules from several different collective agreements and owner operator contracts to pay company drivers bi-weekly and owner operators semi-monthly
– Maintain good working relationship with customers and staff

Qualifications
– The ideal candidate requires a general understanding of automated bookkeeping methods, techniques, and basic accounting principles
– Post education in accounting field preferred
– AR and payroll experience an asset
– Good written and verbal communication skills
– Strong attention to detail
– Strong mathematical skills and analytical skills required
– Excellent planning, organizational, prioritization, and time management skills required
