Randstad is seeking a talented and motivated Bilingual Senior Underwriter to join its growing underwriting risk management team. The successful applicant will assess and evaluate financial applications for individual life insurance and critical illness to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and company standards. Responsibilities
-Communicate and work with our external partners and internal team members to give our clients decisions that are both high-quality and competitive.
-Examine financial, medical, and other non-medical evidence.
-Assessing and classifying personal life, critical illness, and disability risks in accordance with the company’s risk profile.
-Establish effective and positive relationships with our advisors to highlight our service offering
-Adherence to legislative and consumer regulations as they pertain to risk classification, privacy, and disclosure

Qualifications
-Minimum of 5 years of experience as an individual life underwriter is required and authority of $5 million
-Bilingual (English and French) is required
-Knowledge of financial, individual, and medical underwriting
-Ability to effectively negotiate and provide excellent customer service
-Capable of self-managing, prioritizing, and staying organized in order to meet deadlines
-Ability to work well independently while also collaborating successfully with field partners and internal teams.
