Yard Worker

We are looking for a passionate, enthusiastic, and hardworking Yard Worker and Sit-Down Counterbalance operator for a busy warehouse located in Coquitlam.

This will make a great fit for you if you have a background in manual order picking, loading/unloading heavy merchandise with urgency, inventory control. It is an excellent opportunity for you if you thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess strong communication skills.

Shift Time: Monday-Friday 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

What you need to know:

-You are comfortable working 70% of your shift Outdoors / 30% Indoors
-You will be responsible for order picking and packing merchandise, ensure they are prepped for shipment
-You are proficient with safe Sit-Down Counterbalance operation, certificate considered an asset but not mandatory
-Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and location; replenish as needed
-Conduct physical inventory count as required
-Ensures compliance with health and safety standards and company policies and procedures
-Ensures proper use of the equipment and ensures a clean and organized work environment
-Lifting Requirments: 35-55 lbs. Occasional Lifting.
-Willingly performs any other related task, maintain the cleanliness of the yard and work station

Qualifications
-1 year of experience with Forklift equipment in a similar yard/warehouse setting
-You are comfortable in manual order picking, loading/unloading, and inventory counting
-You can commit to the Monday-Friday / 7 AM-3:30 PM schedule
-Ability to work in a high-paced environment
-A reliable means of transportation is an asset.
-Ability to safely operate a Sit-Down Counterbalance forklift -Certificate not required but considered an asset
-Attention to detail and ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy
-Ability to follow company policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance
-Ability to communicate effectively in English
-Ability to work efficiently and in an organized manner
