Senior Voice Engineer (contract)



Job Description:Job description: Services Required: The Senior Voice Engineer will be responsible for the design, programming changes, troubleshooting, estimate preparation, staging, implementation, and upgrading of legacy systems of Avaya CS1000 & NEC SV8000 PBX, Session Border Controllers (SBC), Genesys pure-connect and Cisco voice networks at multiple Lower Mainland health care facilities. The scope of activities will also include the following tasks:Troubleshooting, programming changes, operational & migration support of Avaya CS1000, NEC SV8000, SBC and Genesys pure-connect systems.Preparation of documentation related to the assessment, design, implementation, and operational support of the legacy voice infrastructure and the current Cisco voice networks.Assist with the preparation and installation of the Cisco voice network infrastructure.Assist with the coordination and integration of new Cisco voice system with existing site telephony systems such as Avaya CS1000, Avaya Session Manager, Oracle SBC & NEC SV8000 systems.Provide network implementation / production cutover services outside of normal business hours, as required.Provide technical direction / assistance to Voice Network SpecialistsDevelop an understanding of the current Health Care standards related to the Cisco voice network equipment installation / configuration / operations Specific Qualifications or Experience Required: A level of education, training, and experience equivalent to a university degree or technical diploma in a program, such as Communications Technology, plus related vendor network certifications, and at least eight (8) years of recent legacy Avaya/NEC, SIP trunking, Genesys contact center and Cisco voice network design, estimate preparation, planning, site assessment, and implementation experience. In addition, the successful candidate will have the following experience:In-depth knowledge / experience with current voice network standards and industry best practices required to implement a reliable voice network infrastructure.Extensive experience with enterprise-grade legacy PBX and Cisco voice systems.Self-directed, highly motivated, and results oriented.Sound judgment and decision-making skills.Team player with well-developed interpersonal skills.Good written and verbal communication skillsProficient computer skills using Microsoft Office job #47382 Job ID: 1985071
