The RoleReporting to the Front Office Manager and liaising directly with Pomeroy Corporate Office for all Safety & Security affairs, the incumbent is responsible for personally driving the Health & Safety commitments, including but not limited to:Safeguarding and protecting Company assetsChampioning all tracking of Covid-19 protocols and casesLeading a team of 6 employeesHarnessing cooperation from departmental leadersEnsuring the resort is always in full compliance with all permits (fire, food safety, etc) and conducting audits as requiredMaintain relevant safety training, inspection, permit, and policy sign off recordsConduct fire and safety inspections and follow up as requiredLead the Resort Health & Safety Committee & first response teamsProvide first aid to guests and employees as requiredLiaise with local police, fire, and Alberta Parks agenciesAssist in coordinating training sessions with employees and KES Fire ServiceAssist in managing WCB claims and ensure all claims are handled effectively, including the modified work programEnsure the compliance of all OH&S regulationsAssist in the review and of the Business Continuity Plan semi-annually and ensure it is current and any updated training is facilitated as necessaryIn order to be considered for this role, you will have previous leadership experience in a similar capacity, be willing to live onsite in our staff accommodations, and will have a keen eye for detail and the ability to liaise well with all leaders and employees. Strong communication skills and conflict management is required.
