Our busy client, a Fortune 100 company, is currently looking for an experienced Red Seal Millwright for their operations in Richmond BC. This is a full-time permanent role with career development.

Reporting to Maintenance Manager, this position will be required to troubleshooting, repairing, installing and applying preventative maintenance on a wide variety of food processing equipment. This position requires very minimal direct supervision so looking for an experienced individual who can take direction well and able to meet assigned tasks in a timely manner. You will have exposure to lockout procedures and have worked in a mechanical vacuum, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Salary: $79,000 – $81,000
Hourly wage: $38/hr + OT
Shifts Times availability: 6 AM – 11:30 PM (8-hour shifts but need to be available to work during these hours)
3-week Rotation work schedule

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Read blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
• Install, align, take apart and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical
equipment, such as pumps, fans, tanks and conveyors according to layout plans using
hand and power tools
• Operate hoisting and lifting devices, such as chain blocks, jacks and forklifts, to position
machinery and parts during the installation, set-up and repair of machinery
• Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and find irregularities and
malfunctions
• Install, troubleshoot and maintain power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic and pneumatic
systems, and programmable logic controls
• Operate machine tools, such as lathes and grinders, to fabricate parts required during
overhaul, maintenance or set-up of machinery
• Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery
• Construct foundations for machinery or direct other workers to construct foundations
• Assemble machinery and equipment prior to installation by using hand and power tools
and welding equipment
• Replace defective parts of the machine or adjust clearances and alignment of moving parts
• Perform general welding repairs when required

Qualifications
You must have:
• Red Seal Millwright certification is required
• 1-5 years’ experience in a food manufacturing facility or related experience
• Available to work flexible shifts, holidays, weekends, and be on-call
• Refrigeration, Electrical and PLC exposure would be an advantage
• Excellent interpersonal skills and strong written and verbal communication skills
• Effective time management skills and ability to prioritize
• Follow safety regulation, company policies, and guidelines
