Reporting to the Vice President, this role will be supervising the Supply Chain and Warehouse teams and will provide the best customer service from our warehousing facility. Key Responsibilities:Manage a staff of 6 – 10 all with various roles and responsibilities ranging from long-term strategic to daily tactical.Maintain, and later improve, International supply chain and distribution processes, implement efficiencies to reduce costs and improve customer satisfaction.Manage operations to ensure accurate, cost-effective processes and exceptional customer service to both external and internal customers.Inventory Control: Work with your staff to know where every bolt and washer is – as if it you own it.Manage our warehouse. This is a key component to our operations. Warehouse capacity, bin in/outs, bar coding, E&O inventory reviews are just some of the requirements.Ensure products meet and exceed specification and quality requirements. IQC is something you take pride in doing well.Solve problems in supply chain disruptions, distribution bottlenecks and logistics issues.As a stakeholder of the OHSC you will ensure a safe work environment for all employees by implementing and maintaining optimal safety practices and procedures.Perform and manage building and facilities mgmt. activities including coordination janitorial needs.Work within our cloud-based ERP (NetSuite) system to coordinate activities and keep accurate records.Schedule production, shipping and receiving to meet customer needs.Hands-on experience dealing with logistics providers, freight forwarders and customs brokers.Work closely with purchasing staff to maintain optimal replenishments of inventory and support a strong supply chain with current local and offshore vendors.Consistently monitor industry news and trends to identify new opportunities and improve risk mitigation strategies, duty & tariff optimization strategies.You have daily exposure to INCO terms, MOU’s, MSA’s, T&C’s, and other contracts. Required Qualifications:5+ years of experience in a leadership position in Supply-Chain, Operations management, business process improvements, or similar fields.Bring an understanding of category management, strategic sourcing, competitive bidding, structured negotiations, and supplier performance managementExperience in metal manufacturing industries, metal castings and/or related technical products is preferred.Using customer-driven, win-win problem solving methods to resolve inter-departmental work issues.Excellent verbal and written English skills.Ensuring staff and managers are being trained to meet the current and future needs of the organization in a planned manner.Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Power BI, MRP/ERP software: NetSuite Preferred.Outstanding communicator with an innate ability to impact and influence people.University degree in Supply Chain, Operations Mgmt, MBA, Engineering or related discipline.Membership in associations such as SCMP, APICS and similar is an asset.There is some flexibility for WFH, but this is a primarily a hands-on role performed from our facility in Surrey.
