Our client in Langley, BC in the food industry is looking for an office coordinator. The office coordinator will be very involved with taking care of day-to-day tasks and liasing between departments.This person needs to have strong verbal and written communication skills and should be very comfortable using Microsoft Office programs.ADVANTAGES-M-F 7-3:30PM-$20/hr -working in the office-contract to hire-once the candidate goes onto their payroll, there is a probationary period and then benefits will kick in -2 weeks vacation (once hired)-start ASAP-transit accessible; bus right in front of location-free parking-great working environment/cultureRESPONSIBILITIES-emailing various reports to specific departments, such as accounting and sales-doing some coordinator duties for the sales department-data entry into Excel sheets-scheduling-answering phones-occasionally dealing with couriuers-handling visitor procedures-filing-taking responsibility for swipe cards-sending time-off requests to payroll-creating labels-overseeing the day to day operations of the fast-paced facility-booking truck appointments for both incoming and outgoing freight-scheduling of shipping and receiving orders-working on the floor with team leads and employeesQUALIFICATIONS-be open to working in cold environments on occassion-detail oriented-organized; good at prioritizing-positive attitude-strong work ethis-friendly and good at being the face of the company-strong communication skills-very comfortable with Excel and Outlook-administrative and customer service experience are an asset-safe storage and handling procedureSUMMARYIf this seems like your next opportunity, please reach out to Diana Lum (diana.lum@randstad.com) or Joanne Haberlin (joanne.haberlin@randstad.ca).
