Documentation Knowledge: Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), Driver logbook, Bill of lading, Accident or incident reports, Dangerous goods occurrence reports, Trans-border documentation, Trip reports, Maintenance and repair reports

Specific Skills:

Load and unload goods, Perform preventive maintenance, Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, Perform brake adjustments, Pay and receive payments for goods, Perform emergency roadside repairs, Transport and handle dangerous goods, Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled and fuel consumption, Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes, Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of the vehicle, Oversee condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment, Receive and relay information to central dispatch, Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
Transportation/Travel Experience: National, Provincial/territorial, International, Long-haul

Type of Trucking and Equipment: Straight truck (4,600kg+ or 10,000lbs+ with 3+ axles), Tractor-trailer, Extended length tractor-trailer combination

Weight Handling: More than 45 kg (100 lbs)

Credentials (certificates, licenses, memberships, courses, etc.): Air Brakes Endorsement, Driver’s License (Class 1 or A)
