Salary: $100,000 per annum
Working hours: 40 hours per week, may require some weekends and evenings

Chongqing Liuyishou Hotpot was founded in 2000, which is a famous enterprise specializing in management of hot pot chain and franchisees. It began as a corner shop and expanded to become a giant international food group with more than 1500 locations, covering 31 provinces in China, and many other places in the United States, Canada, Dubai, Singapore, Australia, Hong Kong etc. In 2014, Liuyishou chose the greater Vancouver in Canada for our North America Head Office. In 2015, Liuyishou International Management Company (Canada) Ltd. DBA Thumbs Up Hot Pot was established to operate and supervise Liuyishou Hot Pot Restaurants or also known as Thumbs Up Hot Pot restaurants across North America. We are now seeking a driven Financial Controller to drive improvements so that the business can grow and better serve its guests, employees and the world! The position’s key functions include strategic planning, financial reporting, and forecasting.
Responsibilities:
• Participate in the development of financial strategy and support the Liuyishou’s operational goals.
• Oversee the accounting operations of subsidiary companies, especially their control systems, transaction-processing operations.
• Help guide financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing accounting policies and procedures
• Prepare monthly and annual operating budgets and forecasts
• Produce weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports for management use
• Analyze financial data to track potential operating problems, risks and/or potential weak areas and provide improving suggestions regarding cash and account to ensure normal operation of stores
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, financial laws, and regulations, internal financial controls and procedures
• Assess current accounting operations, offer recommendations for improvement and implement new processes
• Measure and report operation’s KPIs – sales and profit performance, forecasting & budget accuracy
• Prepare profit & loss reports for the business categories, reviewing revenues and costs and allocations of costs for accuracy, investigating any unusual results
• Responsible for payroll and prepare all government entity submissions including but not limited to: GST/HST Remittances, WCB/WSIB & EHT
• Ensure all legal, treasury, and tax documentation is properly maintained and secured, and that all statutory and fiscal reporting requirements are satisfied, which includes any governmental requirements for permits and licenses

Requirements:

• Bachelor degree or above in accounting, finance or related field
• 5+ years of recent accounting and financial experience in a similar role
• Strong computer skills including QuickBooks, MS Office and Payworks
• Full cycle accounting experience including production of financial statements;
• Strong technical accounting abilities and analytical skills, inquisitive by nature;
• Ability to work independently and to complete projects with minimal oversight;
• Team player with a willingness to assist in other roles at peak periods;
• Meticulous attention to detail and disciplined with priorities and time management;
• Exceptional ability with numbers and strong proof-reading skills;
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
