27 year old female caregiver looking for work!
If you expect to need an In-Home Caregiver for you or a loved one in the next year please consider that the demand for in home caregivers is HUGE. There is simply not enough people to fill these jobs as Canadian population ages.
The Government of Canada launched a program to recruit international workers with the Home Support Worker Pilot Program to help meet this demand. There is only a certain amount of spots available on this pilot program each year. There are still some spots left for 2022. The next possible intake once those are gone is January 2023. This pilot program is the ONLY way the government will allow a person to recruit an international worker into a caregiver position.
The processing time for these applications is 12 to 18 months. If you foresee a change in your ability to manage independently at home in the near future please plan ahead now.
An in-home caregiver can provide the freedom to stay home, rather than an assisted living facility or long term care facility. There is no place like home.
Please consider recruiting me through this pilot program. I am a 27 year old female physiotherapist from Mexico with extensive experience in rehabilitation and caretaking experience in both my professional and personal life. I am respectful, motivating, positive and eager to help in any way I can. I have good knowledge of both English and Spanish.
The things I am happy to help with includes facilitating walks/outings, mobility support, driving, errands, cleaning, laundry, and assistance with bathing and dressing. I am happy to help in other ways as needed.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. I’m looking forward to hearing from you and talking about how we can work together to keep you happy and independent in your own home.
