Position SummaryAs a Director of Operations with Securiguard, you will lead a dynamic team of client facing managers and their administration support units. Your effectiveness at establishing a cohesive relationship with your team and their clients play a vital role in the successful growth of Securiguard in the Vancouver region. You will work closely with all regional departments to ensure our clients’ contractual expectations are met or exceeded. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Vancouver Operations, the Director of Vancouver Operations will also participate in the development of their regional budget and play an active role in the development of new business opportunities. This is a sophisticated role, and we are seeking an energetic and dynamic professional with a passion for operational excellence by leading from the front.Start date: asapLocation: Vancouver Key ResponsibilitiesUnderstand your clients and lead from the front by being actively involved in all aspects of client relationship management to become their trusted security and safety solutions resourceBuild a successful and motivated team from the front lines to the office who support our mission of making people feel safe Manage, maintain, and improve on all aspects of the delivery of quality security services to an existing key client baseRegularly visit client sites with the Operations Team to understand future needs and level of satisfaction as well as maintain a working knowledge of services required and make recommendations for improvement Ensure all contract and legislative requirements are being met; stay up to date with legislation pertaining to the security industrySupport strategic account start-ups and transition plans; develop strategies and recommendationsResponsible for the management of Strategic Alliances and sub-contractors on a regular basisCollaborate with the Bid Team and provide proposal writing supportSupervises all facets of incident response and incident commandEnsure KPI performance objectives are met and reviewed according to annual plans and budgets Schedule management, standing orders preparation, security systems (CCTV/Access Control), incident reporting set-up, and installationRequired QualificationsUniversity degree and/or college Diploma in relevant field or equivalent experience 5+ years’ experience with demonstrated operational management responsibilities Flexibility to work outside of regular business hours to meet business demands Experience with producing professional-quality policies, procedures, and reports Experience in the development and growth of multiple stakeholder relationships through solutions-based proposals and implementations Experience in building and leading successful teams; passion and high energy for people Ability to pass a criminal background check Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License and a reliable vehicle Preferred QualificationsSecurity industry certifications such as CPP, PSP, or APP Basic Security Training (or ability to obtain one) Experience in law enforcement, protective services, security management, or risk assessmentAt Securiguard we believe in living and acting by our values: R.E.A.C.H.·Respect · Empathy · Accountability · Courtesy & · Honesty· We make people feel safe and inspire our staff to believe they can make a difference in everything they do.
