Job Description:With a culture of quality and integrity as its core values, Brantec Glazing Systems Inc offers a comprehensive range of custom designed systems including but not limited to curtain wall, window wall, and structural glass that address specific project requirements for residential and commercial buildings. We are looking for a talented individual to join our team as a Curtain Wall Designer: Responsibilities and DutiesDesign and develop custom systemsDraft detailed shop drawings for architectural approval, shop fabrication, and site installationReview and approve design and details during all phases of submissionReview architectural and shop drawings, contract specifications, and samples for design inconsistencies and conflictsEnsure the drawings meet the project scope and budgetAttend mock up installations, site testing, and lab testingProvide complete fabrication drawings and bills of materialsProvide technical guidance to the Drafting TechniciansCollaborate professionally with the Project Management team, architects, consultants, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers regarding design revisions and finalizationPerform other duties as required Qualifications and SkillsMinimum five (5) years of designing and drafting experience in the glazing industryBachelor’s degree in architectural, mechanical, or civil engineeringProficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel Please note: Architects will not be considered for this position. Candidates must have directly relevant experience in the glazing industry.
