Description: Duties may include processing accounts receivable, accounts payable, and other accounting functions and administration tasks where necessary. The duties of the Bookkeeper & Admin Assistant may include but are not limited to:Record day to day financial transactions and manage full-cycle A/P and A/R.Reconcile monthly company chequing and credit card statements.Entering A/P invoices and preparing and mailing out cheques.Keep track of mailed and uncashed cheques.Invoicing and A/R related tasks.Help prepare and file GST returns.Accounts analyses and reconciliations.Month-end journal entries and processes.Managing and reconciling inter-company transactions.Process employee reimbursable expenses.Vendor credit applications.Answer vendor inquiries with regards to payment status.Ad hoc projects and tasks as assigned, including order office supplies & answer office phone. Skills and Requirements:Post-secondary Education or training preferredDiploma in accounting or bookkeeping course preferredA strong work ethic, attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.Exceptional written and oral communication skills.A team player who works well in a collaborative environment.Excellent time management and ability manage multiple tasks effectively.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.A willingness to ask questions and find solutions.Enthusiastic, action-oriented attitude.Accounting experience preferred.Experience with Sage 100 or Quickbooks Desktop is a bonus.
