Architectural Sheet Metal Workers will have the knowledge and skills to install metal roofs, metal walls, and other exterior wall products, composite panels’ insulation membranes and waterproofing, ventilators and curbs, flashings, gutters, downspouts, louvers, soffits, skylights, and metal doors.Our skilled tradespeople work both indoors and outdoors, often in uncomfortable or varied weather conditions. They work on aerial equipment such as swing stages, aerial lifts and scaffolds, at heights exceeding 30 meters. Heavy lifting is a job requirement so a degree of fitness is needed. Due to the safety sensitive nature of this job, we do pre-employment drug and alcohol testing (including cannabis).We offer a very competitive wage, and have a full benefits package offered after 1 month of employment. Specific Duties: Install a variety of products to high quality standard, in a safe and timely mannerLoad and unload construction materials and move materials to work areasAssist fellow tradespersons in construction activitiesRemove rubble and other debris at construction sitesSafely operate a variety of hand tools such as cordless drills, grinders, cutoff saws, etc.Install exclusive building envelope materialsApply caulking and adhesivesCommunicate effectively with Foremen and all other co-workersEducation, Knowledge, and Skills Required:itaBC certified Architectural Sheet Metal Worker, or;itaBC Architectural Sheet Metal Apprentice, or;Red Seal Sheet Metal Worker.
