Job description

SMR Plumbing and heating is looking for an experienced plumber to join our team. This position is ideal for a journeyperson / 3rd or 4th year plumber that is looking to work in a dynamic and growing organization operating out of Vancouver’s North Shore. We’re looking for someone who is ready to hit the ground running, and enjoys working with a group of like-minded and driven individuals. We like to work hard, but we also like to have fun. Key responsibilities of this role are:

o Performing skilled and attentive work in the field of plumbing while adhering to standards/regulations

o Running job sites – Organizes work with attention to priority tasks, inputs necessary information into tracking documents

o Performing varied day-to-day activities with little to no supervision while maintaining quality workmanship

o Leading apprentices on the job site and teaching them relevant duties and skills

o Applying a thorough understanding of the plumbing code and implementation into sites

Skills and requirements:

o 3rd or 4th year Apprentice or Trades Certification Certificate as a journeymen Plumber

o Class B level Gas Fitter’s License with an electrical endorsement recognized by the Province of BC an asset

o Valid BC Driver’s License, with access to your own vehicle (vehicle may be provided dependant on role)

o Ability to work cohesively and effectively within teams

o Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, drawings, and specifications

o Ability to manage time and organize work effectively

o Strong Interpersonal skills, communicates effectively with all stakeholders

o Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position
