Project Background Information The mandate of MTO’s Road User Safety Program is to develop and support Ministry strategies for improvement of road safety and vehicle mobility through: Education enforcement and regulation of safe driving behaviour; andPromotion of vehicle and motor carrier safety while striving to provide excellent customer service The program works with many partners including police, community groups, safety organizations and the private sector to reduce fatalities and injuries on Ontario’s roads. The program also manages the driver licensing service, which issues permits to drive, in the form of a Drivers’ Licence Card, to qualified Ontario residents. Key Priority Areas currently include: Road Safety: continue to improve road safety for all road users;Business Integrity and Modernization: uphold public trust and pursue change to meet clients’ needs;Service Delivery Partnerships: develop relationships and oversight of delivery partners;Enhanced Public Service and Customer Satisfaction: provide quality products and services Horizontal Integration and Collaboration:support development of integrated and efficient products and servicesimproved system integration (i.e. alleviating stress from primary databases) MTO has overall accountability to maintain the provincial driver, vehicle and carrier I&IT systems consisting of more than 65 applications, in partnership with the Labour and Transportation I&IT Cluster. These systems touch most Ontarians in one way or another. They collect and manage data for Ontario’s 8.9 million drivers, 10.6 million vehicles, and 85,000 registered truck and bus carriers. The systems process over 30 million business transactions each year. More than 40 key stakeholders, including delivery agents, partner ministries, and external customers rely on the ministry’s computerized systems to provide and process data and information. This consultant resource will be used to augment our current complement of full time staff, to extend the cluster’s capacity in a flexible and timely manner, to ensure we have the ability to meet defined timelines in order to ensure delivery for the business critical requirements. Responsibilities/Assignment Deliverables: Monthly Performance Status Report:Provide technical support for the implementation of the DEV/SIT, QA, UAT and Production environments at the cloud hosting solution for RUS Transformation Program Phase 2:Provide technical expertise in the planning and estimation of the hosting Environments subscriptions – Logical configuration of Siebel/BPM, working in conjunction with Architecture Provide technical expertise in the environments planning, verification and management during project execution and stabilization periodDevelop options and provide recommendations for RUS Transformation Program Phase 2 project infrastructure solution build, inclusive of parameters for option evaluation and decision makingProvide technical expertise in the completion of client-side elements of the solution, such as desktop package certification and installation and peripherals acquisition and setupCollaborate with solution vendor, project team, solution architects, SDC/ITS, LTC IAST staff and third parties engaged by ITS to facilitate agreement on and acceptance of the infrastructure solutionfacilitate creation of project documentation required by ITS process and OPS gating processProvide technical support coordination for QA and UAT testing, including engagement of IAST, Data MoD, ITS technical teamsProvide technical expertise in the provisioning and implementation of ENA Connectivity – after approval for the Vendor for RUS Transformation Program Phase 2Provide technical expertise in the planning, provisioning and implementation Project PlanAcceptance of related ITS/SDC/LTC deliverables (such as requirements document, solution concept document, infrastructure build, project charter document, SOW document) for each environment (DEV/SIT, QA, UAT, Prod)Completion of the desktop package certification and installationCompletion of the acquisition and setup of required peripherals devices (such as scanners, printers, barcode expertise in the preparation and follow up on Change requests (CR’s/ PCR’s) and Change Request (CRQ’s) to manage infra changes via ITS/TSO/DMO etc. including technical expertise as required at the
