We’re looking for a new Production Assistant with a willingness to learn, and we hope that search ends now, with you.Production Assistant (Fabric and Sewing)Your days will be full of variety since our clients have various needs, both made to order and maintenance sewing projects. This work will always keep you moving.You’ll be working closely with the team for the first few months to fulfill regular and custom client orders while familiarizing yourself with our products, materials, warehouse layout and best practices.We don’t expect you’ll start with a complete knowledge of this; everyone here has learned on the job. Any experience with fabrics will be your head start on what you’ll learn here.Practically speaking you will:* Handle custom manufacturing requests* Sew with industrial machines* Track projects and maintain inventory database* Draft patterns for a range of projects* Assess returned products and fabrics* Clean, as well as repair screens & materialsThe best person in this role is organized, can work independently, take initiative, bring new ideas to the table, and follow up on deliverables.Working at MaterialisticThis is a full-time permanent position, offering $16-20 per hour, commensurate with experience, plus vacation and overtime. You’ll work Monday to Friday in our sunlit warehouse in Etobicoke, from 9:00-5:00pm, with flexibility as needed.We’re a small company doing elite work.
