Our Values · People First · Accountable Always · Strength through Diversity · Time Matters · A Step Ahead Your Role As Metrix grows and we continue to take on an increasing number of scientifically complex projects, we are looking for a specialized Medical Editor & Reviewer. This role involves reviewing work across project teams to ensure it’s scientifically accurate and client-ready. We’re looking forward to bringing someone on for 6 months to start, with the possibility to transition to a permanent position if all goes well! We’re looking for someone who has a thorough understanding of the life sciences, has an obsessive eye for detail, and is looking to apply their life sciences education to the professional medical writing world! You will work across a number of content areas, and maybe even dip your toes into some work outside of healthcare! A substantial number of the projects that you will be involved in are focused on oncology, and so our preferred candidate will have expertise in this field. You’ll work closely with a team of medical writers, graphic designers, account managers, and learning strategists who will help you kick off your career in our exciting Learning industry! In this role, you can expect toReview and edit scientific learning materials covering a range of subject areas, with a focus on oncologyFact-check to ensure all content is accurate and appropriately referencedEdit projects for organization, style, flow, accuracy and clarity of message, as well as adherence to client/brand and learning objectivesProofread at every round of reviewUnderstand the objective of each deliverable and review for appropriate use of any product claims, images, footnotes, references, etc.Review all on-screen content, audio transcript and narration (of digital learning solutions) and ensure it matches the storyboard and is pronounced correctlyReference the story board to ensure:Animations are present and correct per the developer notesLearning activities and progress checks are scored correctlyWork collaboratively with your team(s), meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneouslyAct as an expert resource on grammar, punctuation, and other editorial issuesProvide direction/guidance and feedback to your project teams; we’d love to see your creative input, too!Attend and participate in internal meetingsShare our company values and add your unique and positive contribution to our inquisitive, friendly company culture!
