Job Summary

The furnace Operator will be responsible for loading and unloading parts from fixtures and furnaces. Ensuring correct parts, quantity, and test pieces loaded and unloaded. Report directly to Shift Leader and Shop Supervisor. Alternating shifts.


· Report directly to the Shift Leader and Shop Supervisor.

· Ensure correct parts, quantity, and test pieces are loaded and unloaded.

· Work 8 hour shifts (alternating shifts) 7am to 3:30 pm days, 3pm to 11:30pm afternoons, 11pm – 7:30am nights. Mon – Fri., eventually alternating 12’s(continental shift) when production increases.

· Follow internal operating and safety procedures.

· Wear PPE, safety boots, glasses, earplugs, and masks when required.

· Ability to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.

· Learn to operate the furnace.

· Operate overhead lifting devices.

· Clean shop and yard.

· Ability to work in a cold or hot work environment.

· Perform any tasks delegated by Supervisor.

Job Qualifications

· Mandatory Police Background Check and financial check performed for Controlled Goods before permanent hire, clean Canadian criminal background preferred.
