Toronto-area Property Management company looking for an Assistant Property Manager to manage growing owned and third-party commercial and residential (non-condo) portfolio.
This is a hands on position.
•The position is ideal for a candidate who enjoys having the broad scope of property & tenant management responsibilities.
•Ensure timely and proper collection of commercial and residential rent, and ensure enforcement of lease rights and obligations.
•Liaise with the commercial and residential tenants on day-to-day property management issues.
•Monitor work order/service request from tenants and ensure that they are completed properly and cost effectively
•Prepare residential leases, assignments & renewals
•Liaise with Property Accountant for completion of Additional Rent Reconciliations & collection.
•Perform building inspection activities, including tenant move-ins and move-outs.
•Oversee maintenance and security of buildings
•Respond immediately to all emergencies both during regular working hours and after hours when on call
•Report to ownership and management on a regular basis. •Performs other duties, as assigned.
•Experience in commercial and residential (non-condominium) property management
•Experience in enforcing the Residential Tenancies Act & navigating the Landlord and Tenant Board requirements & tribunals.
•Good technical knowledge of building systems – electrical, HVAC, elevator etc.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong organizational skills
•Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
