Forklift operator (walkie/rider and Counterbalance)


Our Client who is a global leader in the snacking industry is looking for energetic, reliable, goal-oriented Forklift Operators. You would be responsible for servicing the staging locations in the processing and packaging areas with the correct raw and packaging materials. Empty and remove full trays of product and finished goods in order to keep the processing and packaging areas running smoothly during the shift.

Pay Rate: $19.50-20.25 per hour

Shifts: (Must be flexible)
Monday To Friday: Afternoon (3:00 PM to 11:30 PM) Nights (11:00 PM to 7:00 AM).
Weekends Shifts: 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM

Responsibilities include:
-Keep the plant peanut free

-Transport all the necessary raw and packaging materials from the warehouse locations to the processing and packaging areas by following proper material management principles such as First Expire, First Out (FEFO). This includes poly film, corrugated liners, bags, cartons and containers.

-Transport any finished goods to the shipping areas as required.

-Complete the proper material handling equipment inspections in order to safely operate energized equipment at the site

-Ensure that all processing and packaging areas are kept neat and clean. Dirty rags, cardboard, floor spills, dirty trays and any general congestion will be tidied up

-Minimum 1 year of experience operating a powered pallet truck
-Must be able to read and comprehend different types of written documents in English
-Must be able to accurately record receiving documentation as necessary in English
-Physically agile and able to move with manual dexterity in fast-paced environment
-Strong communication, teamwork and organizational skills are required
-A good attitude and a willingness to learn is a must
-Have working knowledge of various safety programs
-Must have forklift license( Walkie-Rider, Counter balance, BT Reach)
