Experienced cook wanted in a premium dinner restaurant in downtown Toronto. The work involves food preparation before services, including salads, vegetables, meats and seafood, cooking mainly using grill and fry pan, plating and expediting, cleaning kitchen equipment and surfaces, and disposing garbage and recyclables. Previous kitchen knowledge for health and safety, and at least 1-year grilling and cooking experience, are required. Responsible and energetic person. Able to meet cooking line delivery speed, make food dishes effectively, modify food preparation methods, create new recipes and dishes, and satisfy customer expectations. Able to work independently but also under direction of management with good fit to concept restaurant culture. Flexible and willing to work both fixed shifts and fill in as needed.
