Job Description

* Negotiate and secure contracts and provide timely estimates, identifying labor, material, overhead and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents. * Liaise, consult, and communicate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and project coordinator for accurate estimates * Coordinate with the project manager to examine progress and gather essential information for payments applications. * Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors. * Consult with vendors and personnel in other departments to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues. MPI encourages applications from minorities, women, the disabled and all other qualified applicants * 5+ years of related estimating experience with General Contractors in Canada. * Above-average mathematical skills, knowledge of industry standards, building codes, city regulations and construction materials. * Knowledge of estimating software and Microsoft Office with the desire to learn new technology. * Excellent communication, time management and organizational skills.
