Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Enforce all policies, procedures, and regulations as defined by the Board of Directors and the Government of Saskatchewan
Supervision and scheduling of all staff (including casual, interns, visiting students, and external program participants) in the assigned centre
Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with safety regulations for fire drills, lockdowns, and emergency lighting
Primary liaison for consultant and additional external positions in the centre eg. Speech, Language, and Behavioural consultants
Ensure appropriate child-to-staff ratios are maintained at all times (including working directly with children to maintain the ratio when necessary)
Responsible for organizing and seeing through any repairs in the centre
May be required to work longer than the scheduled hours some days
Knowledge & Skills:
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work within both a team environment and independently
Familiarity with the structure and operations of non-profit organizations and/or the U of S is an asset
Knowledge of provincially endorsed early childhood care programs
Effective Communication Skills
Effective personnel management skills
Training & Qualifications:
ECE ll or III from an accredited institution, with 5 years experience in a childcare setting
Recommended previous childcare management experience an asset
Require a Valid First Aid/CPR certificate
Require a Canadian Police Reference Check in the past 6 months
Recommended knowledge of common Computer Programs (such as Microsoft Office, Google Suite) an asset
Food safe certificate an asset
Experience:
5 years experience as a childcare worker
Previous childcare management experience is an asset
Demonstrated leadership ability
Ability to work well under considerable pressure
Contract length: 5 months
Salary: From $25.00 per hour
