Busy Day Chefs are expanding our team and looking for a new chef to join our growing business. We put more time in our client’s days by offering an affordable in-home prepared meal service and offer exceptional catered events. We are seeking talented chefs who want to cook a variety of cuisines. Busy Day Chefs help provide client’s with custom designed menu. This position will be required to prepare client’s menus according to client taste profiles & accommodate any allergies. Aside from preparing client’s weekly menu, Busy Day Chefs are required to act in a professional manner, use proper food safety standards, and leave clients kitchen cleaned and sanitized to food safe standards. Duties and responsibilities Personal Prep Chefs will be expected to accomplish the following duties on a regular basis: • Food Preparation, Labeling & Storage. • Cleaning up to exceed food-safe standards • Keeping up-to-date on culinary trends and techniques • Marketing company and services • Maintaining good customer relations • Understanding clients needs • Maintaining safe food-handling skills
Qualifications The Following Skills and Qualifications are required: Qualifications include: • Culinary Arts Program Graduate, or Minimum 3 years experience in Food Service • Food Safe Handling Certification (i.e National Food Safety Training Program) • Clear Criminal Background & Vulnerable Sector Clearance • Time Management • Problem solving abilities • Comfortable with frequent substitution & creative cooking • Able to Multi-task, maintain a steady pace, & self motivated. • Personable, Professional • Access to reliable transport
Working conditions: Busy Day Chefs will be working with existing clients m. Standard hours of service work on flex-time schedule from Monday-Friday, 9:00-5:00. Additional hours will be required based on special events & venue seasons. Working with client’s requires special considerations with equipment & site care. Physical requirements: This position requires a range of mobility with long periods of standing. Busy Day Chefs must be comfortable with the same physical requirements of working in any commercial kitchen. Direct reports: Reports directly to the Executive Chef, Owner.
