We have been full-time honey farmers near Balgonie for the last 2 years and been working in the industry since 2014. We believe great honey starts first with proper care and management of our colonies. We are also proud members of the BeeMaid Honey Cooperative.
-Full summer Apiary worker. (from april-till-october)
Wage: $13-$16 per hour + the end of harvest bonus.
-Partial summer Apiary worker (from june-till-end of august) Wage: $12-$14 per hour + the end of harvest bonus
Mainly outdoor labor involving, working with and inside honey bee colonies, light carpentry work building lids, pallets and boxes used for managing Bee colonies and producing honey, and working in and cleaning a CFIA licensed honey extraction facility.
As a job in agriculture the hours worked per week will fluctuate greatly during the course of the season. from 30-50 hour weeks, so the need to be flexible in your work schedule will be a constant. That said we are more than willing to plan and negotiate work hours around personal events, complete tasks ahead of schedule to allow for extra time off at an agreed upon time.

End of harvest bonus:
Staying for the full duration of the 2021 farming season will reward a bonus of up to 10% of your total gross earnings at Anchor Moore Honey ltd as the end of the season. As well as an additional 5% of your gross earnings at Anchor Moore Honey ltd for each honey production goal reached in the 2021 harvest. (up to a maximum bonus of 20% of your gross earnings at Anchor Moore Farm ltd.
