Employment Requirements:A certificate or diploma in business administration or accounting is considered an assetKnowledge, background, and sensitivity to Human Resources is considered an assetWorking knowledge of basic accounting principles and processesUnderstanding of sales taxes (GST, PST, HST), payroll taxes and corporate taxStrong organizational and scheduling skillsOutstanding attention to detail and ability to work independentlyDeadline focused and driven personalityQuickBooks: 1 year (preferred)Bookkeeping: 1 year (preferred) Responsibilities:Prepare and maintain payroll and related government remittances/filings, recording of sales, accounts receivable, expenses, and accounts payable for Failsafe House Lifting and our sister company FS Manufab Steel Products Inc.Maintain, monitor and reconcile GL accounts including cash, bank reconciliations, prepaid expenses, accounts receivable, accounts payable, accrued liabilities and intercompany and point of sale (POS)/system uploadsFill and submit T4s, T4As, T5s and worker’s compensation return yearlyAssist external accountant with income tax submissionProcess GST/PST returns and remittancesBank deposits, reimbursementsMaintain historical records by filing documents electronically and via physical copiesAssist with administrative tasks including printing and distributing of documents, assisting in scheduling of appointments and managing emails, and administering the provision of benefitsAssist in the development of proficient office communication systemsWork collaboratively and develop and maintain relationships with clients and team membersOther bookkeeping and office assistance as required Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Salary: $54, 600/year Minimum: 35 hours/week Benefits: ● Casual dress ● Flexible hours (ability to work some evenings and weekends) ● Ability to work some hours from home ● Benefit package available after 5 months of employment Job ID: 49718463
