Looking for legal assistant/Law Clerk


Looking for full time legal assistant /law clerk to support three lawyers
Law firm areas of practice include: criminal law; civil litigation and immigration law
• Three years+ experience
• Fluent in English and French – Required
• Adept with technology – Required
• Typing speed of 50 wpm or more
• Intermediate/advanced skills in MSOffice, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PDF Adobe Pro (and knowledge or willingness to learn SharePoint, Planner, MS Teams, etc.)
• experience using PCLaw, an asset
• experience preparing accounts, an asset
• Bookeeping skills, an asset
• Honest/Responsible
• Takes initiative
• Two references minimum required, preferably relevant references

The position includes the following tasks:
Opening/closing office; greeting clients; answering the telephone, email and other correspondence; writing and responding to letters and emails; preparing legal documents as required, putting trial books together, affidavit of documents; serving and filing documents, putting documents together electronically with PDF Adobe Pro including hyperlinks and tabs; update website, manage schedule, prepare dockets and legal accounts.
Salary commensurate with experience
