Kanata Carriers is seeking 2 Dispatcher/Receiver(s) for its linehaul operations in Smiths Falls, Ontario. This is a management position requiring an organized and thorough candidate.

Qualifications:

Forklift & power equipment certified
Valid driver’s license
Punctual and able to manage your time
Prior Dispatching experience
Preference given to candidates with education in the field

Remuneration:

Negotiable commensurate with experience

Details:

Our delivery service runs 7 days a week. A dispatcher manages the linehaul fleet & driver staff. The successful candidate will be required to ensure that staffing is maintained, and all shifts are covered to ensure that clients goods are arriving on time. A successful applicant will need to ensure that all company and governmental regulations, policies and procedures are followed. A dispatcher is responsible for the hot docking of cargo between vehicles hence the power equipment certification (probably about ½ – 1 hr a day). Finally, dispatcher will need to work to book further cargo loads to fill out the cube.
