Kanpai Izakaya is looking for a permanent, full-time manager/supervisor – a specialist in Korean and Japanese cuisine introduction- for its busy restaurant in Moncton, New Brunswick.
The duties of this position are as follows:
– Provide customer service and Introduce and explain complete menu of Kanpai Izakaya that consists of Korean/Japanese meals and dishes, particularly Ramen, Bibimbap, Sushi, and other menu items and specialties. You must have broad knowledge of Asian Cuisine, including ingredients, cooking method, and sauces.
– Plan, organize, control and evaluate daily operations, Determine type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures
– Participate in marketing plans and implementation. Help developing social media with creative ideas and maintaining public relationship via by responding to email/telephone/text inquiries.
-Train other servers and scheduling and hiring.
– Ensure health and safety regulations are followed. Inventory control for dining area supplies, liquor and drinks.
-Oversee restaurant’s daily operation and communicate with kitchen staff regarding customer inquiries and communicate with other managers regarding over all operational strategies. Address customers’ complaints or concerns.
The applicant should have at least one year’s experience as a supervisor in Japanese or Korean restaurant. The successful candidate will be deeply familiar with Asian food and culture. Fluency in English is required. French Language an asset.
Salary: $12 to $16 / hr plus gratuity
Term of employment: Permanent, full-time (40 hours/week)
Minimum educational requirements: High School diploma or equivalency.
