Assistant Maintenance Manager, Camper’s City, Moncton, NB

Our Camper’s City Resort in Moncton offers seasonal and overnight camping.
Reporting to the Resort Manager, the Assistant Maintenance Manager will be a hands on position, responsible for overseeing and assisting in: general repair and maintenance items of the property and hydro, water & wastewater operations and major capital projects. If you enjoy camping and being outdoors, this position may be ideal. If successful, this role could be available year after year.
Responsibilities: Coordinate daily projects with Resort Manager, prioritizing and managing staff as required Working with 3rd party contractors when required, ensuring scope of work is fulfilled Managing maintenance and cleaning staff during Managers’ absence Leading by example; must recognize when tasks need to be completed and assist staff when necessary Maintenance of property such as mowing grass, trimming and leaf collection when required, weeding of flower beds, site and road maintenance where required (filling potholes, etc.) Pool testing and maintenance (daily) and assisting with water system as required Maintenance of equipment to ensure it is kept in a clean and safe operating condition
Qualifications: Experience in similar role, ability to work on a team and with minimal supervision Must be able to operate light duty maintenance equipment Knowledge of hydro, water and sewer systems would be considered an asset Ability to multitask and manage staff Must be willing to work weekends and evenings when scheduled Good communication and customer service skills Self-motivated Ability to speak French would be an asset
