TECHNICAL LEAD, DEVELOPMENT

This is a position for a Technical Lead, Development for our client who is in the Financial Sector.

This position will primarily be remote but one must be able to get to the office located in Mississauga in order to pick up the workstation and VPN token and for meetings expected to take place once or twice a quarter.

Responsibilities
Overall Accountability/Purpose
Technical Lead, Development is a senior technical position, responsible for planning and leading technical aspects of solution
delivery and supporting the strategic initiatives. This role provides support and helps facilitate the design, development,
implementation and maintenance of the applications developed for our clients. The focus of this role will be on leading smaller
teams, analyzing and prioritizing incoming requests, estimating resource needs and timelines, and executing strategic
assignments.

Qualifications
4 year degree (preferably in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Mathematics, or similar)
 3+ years leading teams as a technical lead
 Expertise with technologies/applications utilized by the Solution Delivery team

– This is to work on the open-banking initiative (high visibility, high profile project)
– 70% hands-on technical 30% technical leadership/mentoring
– must have strong knowledge of APIs, more focused on back-end development but also should have some knowledge of front-end
– familiar with cloud architecture
– able to build systems – must have strong systems design experience, able to draw diagrams and able to explain how to deploy this.
– DEVOPS background required
– coming from a banking background
