* Take ownership and be responsible for all aspects of the project* Responsible for establishing and maintaining excellent relationships with owners, consultants, trades, and the public while promoting the companies services and ensuring client satisfaction.* Collaborating with engineers, architects etc. to determine the specifications of the project* Negotiating contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements* Reviewing the project in-depth to determine if everything is done according to plan* Coordinating with the team and stakeholders* Demonstrating knowledge of all areas of construction* Manage all day-to-day correspondence and ensure that the job site receives all correspondence in a timely manner* Act as a liaison between all Project Team members, both internal and external* Any other duties as assignedMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability, marital status, or based on an individual’s status in any group or class otherwise protected under applicable human rights legislation. MPI encourages applications from minorities, women, the disabled and all other qualified applicants* Diploma or Degree in Construction, Architecture, or related field an asset* Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience in the ICI construction industry* High level of understanding how design drawings are to be built and implemented in a real-world situation.* Knowledge of all aspects of construction, estimating, budgeting, scheduling, cost control, contract administration, technology, equipment, means and methods and general industry practice* Excellent leadership and organizational skills.* Ability to work successfully both in an independent and team environment.* Knowledge of local codes and sub trades* Strong understanding and adherence to safety standards* Maintain positive working relationships with employees, subcontractors, customers, material suppliers and other stakeholders with an interest in the success of the project* Knowledge of sustainability programs including LEED would be an asset* Excellent presentation, verbal, written, communication and interpersonal skills* Ability to adapt to changing environments and time linesOur client is a Canadian General Contractor who is recognized for high quality workmanship, innovative solutions and a fine-tuned ability to fast-track projects.
