Job Summary      The Marketing Coordinator is part of an important team that supports the Canadian Regional Brand, Marketing and Digital (BMD) effort on implementation of marketing and department strategies. The Marketing Coordinator reports directly to the VP, BMD, Canada and supports the entire above property BMD team. Key accountabilities are billing, reconciliation, project management support and communications support. Responsible for executing marketing/digital activities as assigned based on key initiatives and strategies. Ensure that all activities are in alignment with marketing functions and the portfolio of hotels in Canada is provided the support needed for successful implementation of the marketing plans across the region.   CANDIDATE PROFILE Required Education and Experience 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major2 years’ experience as a program specialist, marketing coordinator or related professional area.   Other Preferred Skills/Experience University degree in marketing, communication, public relations, or business preferredExperience in marketing, public relations, digital advertising or interactive agency experience preferredExcellent English communication skills, verbal and writtenFrench language proficiency is not required, but preferredStrong understanding of traditional and online marketing as well as social mediaDetail oriented, with demonstrated track record of follow-through and deliveryExperience working effectively in a multi-national setting with virtual team environments Able to work independently and prioritize objectively Ability to independently manage multiple tasks and projectsDemonstrates self-confidence, energy and enthusiasmDemonstrates strong willingness to collaborate and exceptional teamwork Motivated self-starterAbility to track promotions, synthesize data, and provide reports to property leadership teams   CORE WORK ACTIVITIES Project Management Support Ensure marketing communications support regional, market, and hotel business objectives and goalsEnsure execution and fulfillment of projects as outlined on marketing communications plansHelp to manage and track all transient and group regional marketing programs and promotionsCoordinate estimates, projects, and final material closings of jobsEnsure adherence to Corporate Advertising and Marketing Communications standards, brand standards, and format guidelinesEnsure marketing information provided is accurate, complete, timely, and enables hotels/region to meet or exceed expectationsDevelop strong working relationships with outside vendors to ensure quality, cost effective creative executionsUpload images and maintain regional digital assets and job filesSupport stakeholder communications, including presentations, webcasts, developing meeting collateral, or maintaining distribution listsManage senior leader (President of Canada) social media accounts on Instagram and LinkedIn – writing, creating and gathering content and creative assets Maintain, manage, and track individual project budgetsCreate, compile, and coordinate monthly regional decks/presentations and one-pagers on campaign and loyalty strategies Project manage the development of loyalty Moments in partnership with Canada Loyalty Director (maintain tracker, reports and creative repository)Support paid media and paid social strategies as required Manage creative translations for marketing support in Quebec (brand, loyalty, etc.) Provide creative support for regional and continent led campaigns: editing, updating and regionalizing content for region-wide campaigns in close collaboration with internal Marriott International teams, and external agency and freelance resources Compile the Monthly Marketing Snapshot, Weekly Update Reports, Bonvoy Moments reporting (quarterly basis)Update general Canadian fact sheets on ad-hoc basis for stakeholders and editorial outlets Maintain Public Relations Repository and Canada Presentation Photo repository as resource for regional led initiatives Assist in Meeting Management, maintaining updated Distribution Lists, Contacts Lists, meeting calendar and organization chartsOther duties as required   Billing, Reconciliation and Budget Maintenance Manage, track and forecast the Canadian portion of the North American Marketing Budget with Americas and Canadian finance departments Manage, track and forecast the department admin budget unit (P&L) and report out at monthly budget meetings and manage yearly budget planning process associated with this unit.
