Position Profile:

This position will be based out of our Winnipeg location, reporting to Strategic Accounts & Business Development Manager.

The primary purpose of this role is to support the profitable growth of our service departments through “Strategic Customers” who require services from more than one Flynn Branch and that are requested and delivered with a consistent and agreed process. Provide support to our International Solutions Center in their effort to deliver these services.

The secondary purpose of this role is to support the profitable growth of our service departments through “Local Customers” as requested by the Branches.

Responsibilities of the Account Manager include: • Develop new clients; maintain and grow ongoing business relationships through direct and frequent communication. • Acquisition and management of key national accounts. • Initiating & developing relationships with key decision makers in all serviceable markets. • Identifying and sourcing out prospective clients from various sectors to achieving business targets. • Generate leads for new business by running promotional mailers, cold calling etc. • Remote interactions and presentations / demos. • Develop good working relationships with current clients to ensure full quality and satisfaction. • Ensuring regional senior management, National Business Development Manager, and remote management is kept informed of business development activity and issues. • Visiting and travelling other company branches and client offices as required. • Supporting corporate initiatives and business development objectives. • Coordinating own efforts with national and local Business Development.

Skills/Qualifications of the Account Manager include: •Post-secondary education considered an asset. •Well-developed sales/presentation skills in power point •Excellent communication skills •Ability to be self-directed •Excellent organizational/time management skills •Proficiency in MS Office •Able to work in a fast paced and sales driven environment •Willingness to learn entire scope of business including product knowledge, building envelope design, service, and budgeting to offer full service packages to current and potential clients.

Additional Role Responsibilities: • Identify, develop and pursue opportunities for other Flynn business units and communicate these as appropriate. • Work closely with our Service Department to develop glazing service opportunities. • Maintain and develop relationships with pertinent personnel of real estate Owners and Managers, developers, regular clients • Follow up of tenders, maintain records of known results for future reference • Assist estimators on preparing tender prices, keep up to date on specs and addendums • Sell Flynn’s national presence and our ability to complete the entire building envelope
