Manager of Business Development and Operations



Job Description:Our client, a multi-million-dollar innovative leader in industrial engineered solution products in London, ON is currently seeking a motivated Manager of Business Development and Operations. Servicing a variety of customers across all sectors of industry, the Manager of Business Development and Operations will be responsible for full cycle business development including working with current customers and generating new business accounts in Canada and the US while being supported by company owners overseas. Duties & Responsibilities include: • Lead, oversee and completely manage P&<, sales, marketing, and service functions • Managing the full sales cycle; monitor, measure and report to Management • Oversee daily operations of business as a whole • As the Brand ambassador, develop and maintain successful relationships with all vested stakeholders • Develop and implement effective short-term and long-term sales strategies • Monitor and analyze performance metrics and implement strategies; ensure Sales KPIs are achieved through flawless execution of national and regional sales initiatives • Monitor Regional results and drive performance management • Responsible for managing the Sales operational budget and accounting for its administration • Work with existing pipeline and perform research and identify new potential market opportunities • Keep abreast of new market trends, new product launches, new incentives and promotions • Develop and implement Growth Plans with management of P&< • Undertake competitor intelligence, OEM analysis, and market landscape review • Formulate strategies to achieve new sales and increased market share by means • Distributor and OEM management; appoint, continuously evaluate, and build positive relations • Create and implement a system to achieve and monitor service levels • Manage all costs (ie. freight, inventory carrying costs) associated with the business, making changes where possible to improve year over year profits and Net Working Capital Skills, Abilities and Requirements: • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Engineering or Business (Marketing preferred) • Minimum 5 years successful business development experience (industrial sales) • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a business/ corporate setting, ideally in an Operations and/or Leadership capacity • Technical and industrial background; preference given to those with knowledge of compressors or compressed air • Entrepreneurial nature, independent thinker who is achievement oriented and motivated to grow with the company • Excellent communication and strategic thinking skills needed to present, negotiate, influence and communicate, both in writing and orally • Demonstrated ability to organize, multi-task and make decisions under pressure • Strong leadership, sales, and customer service skills with a high level of integrity • Ability to think creatively and strategically and emerge with innovative solutions • Proficiency with MS Office Suite and various other software programs • Must be able to travel as is required by the job on occasion This direct hire opportunity offers an overall lucrative compensation package, complete with competitive base and bonus structure for the right candidate, dependent upon experience level.
