Our client, a busy automotive facility in WOODSTOCK, ON is looking to add an experienced CLASS D Driver for LOCAL runs to their team on a PERMANENT basis. This role is day shift with a 7:30am start (no weekends) with runs to the London and/or Toronto area. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering to customers on time, safely and accurately while representing the company.

Duties, Skills and Responsibilities:
-Comply with applicable legislation, including safe operation, carriage of goods, drivers’ hours of service, occupational health and safety, and weights and dimensions
-Check all load-related documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate
-Assist team with loading of truck using power pump truck
-Perform pre-trip, in route, and post-trip inspections on vehicle and load, ensuring safety and roadworthiness
-Providing top notch customer service to build and maintain relationships with customers and vendors
-Safely operating truck and delivering the products on time, with accuracy, and professionalism
-Complete all necessary paperwork at the end of the shift, including daily logs, inspection logs, delivery receipts, vehicle inspection; following applicable provincial and federal regulations
-Provide feedback to management regarding customer problems, mechanical problems, or delivery problems

Requirements, Skills and Experience:
-Min. 3-5 years related driving experience including customer service piece
-Candidate must have a clean driver’s abstract, CVOR and a valid D class license
-Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
-The ability to lift up to 50lbs
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-Capable of working in a team as well as individually with a self-starter outlook
