About Sumus Property Group Sumus Property Group is a small, motivated team that is located in the historic Canada Post building right here in downtown Lethbridge. We are a property development company that works hard to push the boundaries and expectations in design, technology, and results in the real estate industry. Real estate is a consistently growing market, but the industry has been slow to embrace technology to solve current and future industry problems. We’re looking for awesome tech talent to help us disrupt the real estate industry, setting a new standard for what investors, tenants, and industry professionals should expect.

Required Technical Skills: – We work in a flexible software development environment, and we need someone who has a working knowledge of JavaScript and can use it to solve real-world problems. – You can apply solid engineering practices and patterns to server-side API development. – Our stack is built on Node.js, NPM, ExpressJS, Mongoose, and MongoDB Atlas so you should be familiar with the concepts behind back-end frameworks and libraries/tools like these, even if you have not used them in a production setting. – You understand object-oriented data structures and document-based databases and can work with them. Data management is a critical part of what we do. – We use Git for version control, so you should be comfortable using it to manage codebases.

Personal Preference Fit: – You’re a passionate individual who is excited to create useful tools that are delightful to use. – You want an environment to be challenged in, and to be a part of creating amazing products. – You develop with performance in mind but don’t dwell on it. – You want to grow with our company and have a say in the outcome.

Responsibilities: – Creating efficient and robust links between our databases and our API platform. – Collaborate with our other team members to engineer the infrastructure for our web products. – Work with the team to develop solutions to tough data management problems.

Nice to have (but not required): – Knowledge of the real estate industry. – Experience using Google Cloud or AWS, and an understanding of continuous integration products. – StackOverflow and GitHub profiles.
