NEL Recreation is looking for a Lead Service Technician to join our team. A lead service tech requires little direction from the service manage. Must be able to diagnose the correct failure mode, using the appropriate Technical Manual procedures and special tools. Must be competent in repairs to all products sold by the dealership. . Job Details . Full Time Salary $30.00 hourly Summer & Winter Demo’s Start date – as soon as possible Company Group Benefits (ex: Health, dental, life, long term disability, etc.) . Job Responsibilities . Diagnose and repair to specifications – Snowmobiles, ATV, SxS, outboards, boats, power equipment, 2&4 stroke engines, primary and/or advanced fuel ignition and electrical, suspension, drive train, computer systems, etc Adequately explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include employees and customers on an as-required basis. Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing technology. Complete all manufacturer’s training as required on time. Assist fellow technicians/mechanics in performing technical activities. Keep store management aware of mechanical repair problems as they occur. Maintain an organized and neat bay. Adhere to all company policy, procedure, safety and environmental rules. Prepare all reports and forms required in conjunction with job assignments

Our Lead Technicians are expected to help provide thought leadership, mentoring, and on-the-job training for other Technicians at our location.

Qualifications

This position is a leader in the shop. We expect you to help set the pace and tone while helping to develop the team around you. Collaboration and a team first mentality are a must if you are looking for success in this role. In addition we require review the following to measure your fit for this role:

A High School Diploma 8+ years of strong Powersports / Automotive mechanical diagnosis, problem-solving and repair experience. You’ll also need a high level of motivation, energy and a customer-focused attitude. Must have a valid driver’s license. Prepare all reports and forms required in conjunction with job assignments Personal and professional integrity.
