Golf Course Mechanic / Equipment Technician


Kelowna Springs Golf Club is looking for a full time, year-round equipment technician / golf course mechanic.

This individual will be responsible for coordinating and performing all preventative maintenance and repair of the golf course turf equipment and 44 unit electric golf cart fleet.

Annual salary will be in the $40,000 to $55,000 range, depending on experience and qualifications. Health and additional benefits packages also available. Start date somewhere between middle of January and end of February, 2020.


-diagnose and repair mechanical problems in all course equipment, including diesel and gas mowers, utility vehicles, implements, golf courts, as well as all small engine equipment

-daily inspection, adjustment and sharpening of cutting reels and mowing decks

-performing scheduled servicing and repair of all equipment, including 44 electric golf carts and keeping detailed maintenance and repair records

-maintain suitable parts and supplies inventory, maintain the shop and yard in an orderly and clean condition

-willing to assist with any required on course projects, maintenance or repairs


-diploma or certificate in mechanics, or a experience as a turf equipment mechanic

-experience trouble shooting and repairing mechanical, electrical and hydraulic issues

-experience with grinding and setup of both reel and rotary mowers an asset (on-site training is possible)

-welding and fabrication skills an asset
