Job Description: Operations Manager Our client a successful transportation company that has been in business for over 25 years is looking at adding an Operations Manager to their team. Responsibilities:Responsible for developing and maintaining effective Customer relationshipsProductivity and space utilizationIdentify opportunities for technology enhancementsPlan, organize and manage the work of associates to ensure that work is accomplished in a manner that is consistent with organizational policies and proceduresHandling employee-related matters including performance reviews, personal counseling, disciplinary issues, maintaining attendance records, ensuring compliance with labour and employment legislationEnsure compliance to the routines outlined in SOP’sUnderstand process performance versus target objectives, identify reasons for variance, communicate and implement necessary changesEnsure daily / weekly workload planning and volume forecasting routines are accomplished (i.e. staffing, equipment, space)Direct and coordinate the repairs and maintenance to equipment, vehicles and equipmentConduct safety talks/training and participate in health and safety inspections in collaboration with the JHSC Qualifications At least 10 years of supply chain management experience in transportationAt least 5 years managerial experienceExperience managing budgets
