Administrative Assistant – Part time – Contract Position


We have an immediate opening for an Administrative Assistant to provide administrative and secretarial support to CCI-NB. You must include a cover letter with your application to be considered. Monthly Board meetings are held via a virtual forum. • Physical attendance at face to face meetings, such as the Annual General meeting and others as required • Accurate preparation of correspondence to members, liaise with National office and maintain membership lists. • Process daily e-mails, inquiries on the Chapter website, and phone messages • Maintain detailed and accurate membership and administrative files both hardcopy and electronically • Calendar maintenance: schedule and organize meetings, including Annual General Meeting and Seminars, assist with Board meetings, preparation of semi-annual newsletter, make travel arrangements and update address books. • Identify potential sponsors for Seminar events and coordinate with Board and Members for contact of such. • Recruit volunteers amongst the membership to assist with seminar administrative duties • Other duties, as required. Skills & Qualifications: • Computing skills including Excel, Word, PDF files and management of electronic documents on the Chapter’s website • Excellent proofreading, spelling and grammar skills. • Excellent organizational abilities. Detail oriented. • Outstanding communication and prioritization skills. Hours of work – Flexible with the exception of face to face activities. Ability to work from home for the majority of duties. Job Type: Part time Salary: Annual contract at monthly rate. Negotiable Experience: • Previous experience working with a Non-profit Board • Previous experience as an administrative assistant Location: Saint John, NB, Moncton NB, or Fredericton NB Language: English (Required), Bilingual (French and English) would be considered an asset.
