Sushi Chef


We are looking to grow our Nomiya family! The Nomiya Restaurants are a group who are looking for reliable, enthusiastic workers with a positive customer-first attitude.

– Position Title: Sushi Chef
– Requirements: Minimum of three years of relevant experience
– Japanese restaurant experience is preferred
– Language requirements: English

– Preparing, cooking, and presentation of food to our customers
– Development of menus and recipes
– Checking, receiving, and ordering products within budget
– Confirming the quality of raw and cooked food items
– Maintaining the highest possible standards of health and safety, sanitation and cleanliness in the workplace
– Guidance and training of the development of new kitchen employees
– Meeting with the managers and owners to ensure our operations are in order

– Duty hours: Full-time 40+hours weekly. Working a combination of dinner, and weekend shifts are required. There may be times when working extra hours is needed. These extra hours can be accumulated to be taken as paid vacation days
– Annual leaves: Two weeks vacation
