Position Summary

Are you looking for an opportunity to join an innovative team and build a rewarding career that will provide a sense of accomplishment at the end of the day? Eagle Builders is growing and seeking motivated full-time Precast Installation Labourers to join our field crews in Edmonton, Alberta.

The ideal candidate has a desire to work hard, is punctual, possesses a class 5 drivers license and has previous experience working in the construction industry with the ability to safely operate equipment. Successful candidates should be physically fit as this is a position that requires you to perform a variety of physically challenging duties. Majority of the projects will be local to the Edmonton, AB area, however you will be expected to travel for work when required. Must be willing to work overtime and have a positive go-getter attitude.

Job Description

  • Assist in the installation of precast components during the erection of commercial, industrial, multi-story, and agricultural buildings
  • Work effectively with a crew of 3-5 team members on the construction site
  • Complete site prep work prior to the installation of precast wall panels
  • Help with rigging and signaling of cranes
  • Accomplish a variety of tasks that help the progress of the field
  • Working outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Take direction from and collaborate with your foreman or supervisor
  • Follow company safety policies and procedures

Assets

  • Previous experience installing precast structures and components
  • Apprentice or Journeyman Ironworker certificate
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints

Requirements

  • A valid drivers license with reliable transportation to get to site in Edmonton daily
  • Valid Standard First Aid, Fall Protection and Aerial Work Platform
  • Physically fit with the ability to lift at least 50lbs
  • Comfortable working at heights with proper safety restraints
  • Minimum 44-50 hours per week, Monday Friday, occasional Saturday
  • Must be reliable, flexible and willing to work overtime
  • Follow company safety policies and procedures
  • Willing to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have an eye for detail, color matching and a creative mindset
  • Good communication skills to receive and relay information to and from Crew Members, Supervisors and Foremen
  • Local to or willing to relocate to Edmonton, AB area
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada. At the moment we are unable to sponsor international candidates
