Job Description:Navigator Position Description The Fort Saskatchewan Wellness Hub for Youth (The Bridge) is a wellness hub for all youth between the ages of 11 – 24 years old. The Bridge provides various health and wellness services for youth including counseling and support groups/programs. We are an open and inclusive space for all youth to access whether they are utilizing support services or simply coming to hang out. The Bridge Navigator supports the Manager and operations of The Bridge, providing front line support to youth as well as being the first point of contact for volunteers and visitors to The Bridge. This role focuses on non-clinical services such as life skill development, job preparedness, life transition, financial support, healthy relationships and mental well-being. Roles and Responsibilities ● Completes youth intake – determines if services are desired/needed ● Provides connection for youth and families to clinical services (targeted and/or intensive) using Stepped Care model ● Makes information and supported referrals to other community agencies and clinical services ● Helps youth navigate supports through the Stepped Care model ● Developing and implementing programming to meet the needs identified by youth and families ● Develops positive relationships with youth and families ● Promotes positive mental health language to decrease stigma in the community Required Education, Experience and Skills: ● A Diploma/Degree in health, social science or other related disciplines is preferred ● Experience working with and supporting individuals with various abilities, mental health needs and other required supports ● Desire to work with youth (ages 11-24) and their support networks ● Strong facilitation skills ● Knowledge of youth mental health, resilience, and wellness ● Knowledge of person-centered care and principles of health equity ● Exceptional interpersonal, relational and communication skills ● Highly organized with careful attention to detail ● Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel within Alberta is required ● Ability to be available for evenings, or weekends if required ● Vulnerable sector and criminal record check, child intervention check required ● Experience with trauma-informed care an asset To apply please send cover letter and resume to Job ID: 16626433
